Accessibility statement

SpiceLog aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard rather than a mouse, a screen reader, or other assistive technology. We're targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our standard.
What we've done
Every page has a single main content landmark and a labeled navigation region. Interactive controls that show only an icon carry a text label for assistive technology even when nothing is visible on screen. Custom interactive elements (like the calendar's day cells) support both mouse and keyboard activation, and we avoid nesting one interactive control inside another. Dialogs trap focus appropriately, can be closed with Escape, and are announced as dialogs to screen readers.
Known limitations
- Color contrast has been reviewed for the pages and components in common use, but not exhaustively audited across every chart, badge, and state color combination.
- Images you attach to a journal entry don't have a way to add your own description (alt text) yet — they're treated as decorative and skipped by screen readers, so if an image carries information your written entry doesn't already say, a screen-reader user won't get it from the image itself.
- The trade-detail price chart is a third-party widget (TradingView Lightweight Charts); we haven't independently verified its own accessibility beyond the surrounding page.
- This statement covers the customer-facing product. SpiceLog Control, the internal staff tool, hasn't been audited to the same standard.
